Steve Wagner, 1996 USA Olympic Field Hockey Goalkeeper and current USA Men’s National Team Goalie Coach is pleased to offer a wide range of field hockey goalie training opportunities through Goalkeeping 1-On-1. Now based in the Philadelphia area, Steve has been involved with field hockey, as a player and a coach, for more than 20 years. As an elite goalie, he learned and developed skills and strategies that he passes on to his trainees. Steve’s formal education (B.S., Kinesiology) and Olympic, international, and collegiate experience inform his specialized knowledge of defense organization and communication. Athletes receive training on crucial skills and undergo intensive supervision to continuously enhance, implement and develop these skills. They include small group training sessions, goalie-and-shooter clinics (for both goalies and field players), field hockey school, club and high school pre-season goalie training, and coaches clinic.
